Silverstone FN122 and FM83

The FM83

This fan is quite a peculiar one to look at as it is a 92mm fan fitted into an 80mm frame. It’s also a stark white similar to the Silverstone SG02 (reviewed here)

It’s quite an interesting looking fan as its blades are much more curved than others. It also has a circular design and features notches along the inside of the fan shroud.

This fan is based one what Silverstone call the “Bullet Design”. By having a circular frame and aerodynamic notches to direct airflow along with the extra curvature to the blades, the fan should be able to move more air at lower RPMs; I would be a bit worried about dust build up though.

The FM83 has a standard 3pin connector for power and speed monitoring but also has a fan controller that is attached by a 2pin connector.

This fan controller is more than useful for just adjusting the speed of one fan, if you receive multiple fan controllers with other Silverstone fans you can put them onto this backing plate therefore only taking up one PCI slot to control up to 3 fans.
