Scythe Mugen 2
Conclusion
The Scythe Mugen 2 has been very impressive in all areas of testing, especially the cooling – this leads me to believe that this is a very well designed product that combines innovative technology with tried and tested design. It does this by retaining the widely used tower format but putting their own spin on it – MAPS technology.
There are a few little niggles that I have for example, Scythe don’t include two sets of fan clips for a dual fan setup although as I showed earlier it’s not really worth it. Also, the fan is pretty loud at 1300RPM and there are possibly mounting issues.
However, for me none of this really matters when you look at the overall performance of the cooler which was very good – a fine product indeed and I would put it at the top of all the coolers I’ve seen in 2009.
| Pros | Cons |
| Great Cooling | Cost |
| MAPS | Noisy at max fan speeds |
| Multi-fan Structure Mounting | |

| Fairly quiet |
