The Scythe Mugen 2 is packaged in a very well styled box with lots of colour and design. The front sees a picture of the product which appears to be floating above the world along with its features and compatibility – Intel 478, LGA775/1366, AMD 754, 939, 940, AM2, AM2+.

One side is dedicated to further explaining the features and revisions from the old Scythe Mugen.

Whilst the other, concentrates on the different mounting plates and how they should look once installed. The specifications, in a whole host of different languages, are also displayed here.

Finally the back is much plainer and has a whole list of bullet points on the warranty and some other bits and pieces.

Overall, a very comprehensive box that pretty much tells you all you need to know about the three F’s (facts, figures and features).

Moving on to the accessories, Scythe appears to have gone down a new route when it comes to mounting plates by having one universal plate with different clips for each socket as opposed to lots of different back plates. The full list of accessories is as follows:

As you can see it’s a pretty whopping list including everything you could ever need when installing a CPU cooler.

Inside the box, the cooler is also very well packaged to keep it safe and secure
