Evercool 925-HPC
Box and Bundle
The packaging is immediately much more appealing than many other of the generic boxes that coolers arrive in. Firstly, the it consists of a thick piece of cardboard at the back and molded plastic enclosing the cooler itself. Thus, the whole cooler can be seen not just a sneak preview of the fan as it sometimes the case. Consequently, this is a good move by Evercool as any potential buyers can see exactly what they will be purchasing instead of having to use an element of guess work.
Another, thing that hits you straight away is the colour blue. The packaging, cooler and even the strange looking ‘ice-man’ on the front are all depicted in this very stand out colour – probably to emphasis the ‘cool’ theme.
Due to the clear plastic, nothing else is needed on the front, except for the name, company logo and a quick slogan – ‘More silent! More cool!’, as you can see the product itself and so all the specifications are kept for the back.
Overall, first impressions are definitely high due to the exceptionally styled packaging and imaginative attempt to make the cooler seem a more interesting component.
The back is, therefore, full of information including technical specifications, features and a diagram about heat-pipe technology. Yet still there is another picture of the cooler; you are certainly not left in the dark with this product. Finally at the bottom is another slogan – ‘Keep your system running cool’. Evidently, Evercool have tried hard to reinforce its theme of “coolness”.
Along side the main product, are a whole host of accessories which are mostly just for mounting purposes (the cooler is compatible with Intel P4, LGA775 and AMD K7, K8). However, this is also an expected instruction manual (in both English and I’m going to guess Taiwanese, though I am not expert in distinguishing between different South-Asian languages) and an external fan controller so as to allow the user to adjust the speed of the fan.
The fan controller is just as well styled as the rest of the packaging. Behind the silver turn switch is a grey and black wave which adds a little extra in the aesthetics department as well as another Evercool logo; they certainly haven’t missed out on the chance for some extra advertising on this cooler.
