Nintendo Sold over 113,000 3DS Handhelds

Nintendo has managed to sell an impressive 113,000 of its latest handheld console, the 3DS. Despite news of a blue screen of death and another black screen error, the 3DS sold 303,000 units in Europe and 113,000 units in the UK in the first two daysafter hitting the shelves.

In fact, the glasses free 3D console has sold out so quickly that Nintendo is saying that it’s their most successful console launch ever, beating out the 106,000 sales that the original Wii made in its first few days of launch. However, they have yet to beat out the PSP which in its first few days managed to sell 185,00 units, though the 3DS is on target to beat this if they continue on their current trend.
