Despite plenty of other developers stating that they wouldn’t be adding Flash to their platform, Sony has announced that it was keen to utilise the platform.
Even Adobe has been quite vocal about its refocusing from the long time web animation tool to HTML5, the platform that most people consider the future of online video. Despite Sony being aware of the battery life issues of using Flash on a mobile device though, it’s going ahead with it nonetheless. They arn’t singing it’s praises or anything, just saying it’s something that’s worthwhile having.
Have to say I agree. While sure HTML5 might be the future, Flash is the now. It’s one of the most widely used standards on the internet and not including it still seems like a middle finger to a user base.
