The developer behind hit indi block building title Minecraft, has released a new trailer for their second game, scrolls. It’s mostly based around non-gameplay, cut scene footage shot in a cartoony style. It shows an old man fussing over some scrolls along with sketch art of some other characters.
Mojang is a great example of a do-it-yourself approach, the alternative to the increasingly popular learning of video game development at video game design colleges.
Mojang has had some copyright issues in recent months with Bethesda’s parent company Zenimax, who claim that because the name of the game is “Scrolls”, it infringes on Bethesda’s Elder Scrolls. Sure, because that series is all about scrolls, which only they are allowed to make a game about. I get it. I get it.
