Military Bases won't sell new Medal of Honour

Despite EA games trying to placate those offended by the inclusion of the world "Taliban" for the differing sides of their new Modern Warfare title, by renaming them to "Opposing Force," Army Exchanges won't be selling the game.

This announcement came after the US military officials gave the game a stringent review to see if they felt they could sell the game."Out of respect to those touched by the ongoing, real-life events presented as a game, Exchanges will not be carrying this product," Commander Maj. Gen. Bruce Casella of the Army & Air Force Exchange Service said. "I expect the military families who are authorized to shop the Exchange are aware, and understanding, of the decision not to carry this particular offering." EA higher up Amanda Taggart commented saying, "We respect AAFES' authority to decide what's best for their customers. EA has not asked for, and does not expect, a change in the Defense Department's decision to restrict the availability of Medal of Honor on bases."
