War of Legends interview

As we've already mentioned, Jagex is a UK-based games developer and publisher who have specialised in online, browser-based games since 2001, and in the intervening time the company has grown heavily and now encompasses around 400 staff across a couple of development studios in Cambridge and an office in London – Facts which make Jagex the UK's largest independent games studio. The jewel in Jagex's crown at present is the company's free to play medieval fantasy MMO RuneScape, which has itself existed since 2001 (and was indeed the reason for Jagex's creation in the first place). That 165 million user count we mentioned in our introduction makes RuneScape the largest free to play MMO in the Western world, but is just one of over forty titles that have been self-published by Jagex during their lifespan thus far, all of which have been aimed at the PC market aside from a single recently-released iPhone application.
