Sony gives full details of PS4 specs

Sony has been thrashing competitor Microsoft at this year’s E3 expo, specifically targeting the Xbox One’s weak spots with its announcements about no online activation, the ability to share games, used game sales and more, but now its stepping beyond that and giving us a full run down of the internal hardware.

According to a Sony release, the PS4 is designed to be as slim and as light as possible, whilst retaining a robust cooling system that should keep the system nice and quiet. But enough of that, here’s the raw specs:

Some of that 500GB storage space however, is allocated to system utilities, so you won’t get 500GB. I’m guessing somewhere in the region of 480GB free space in the end.
Like the PS3 and Xbox 360 before it, the PS4 is designed to work standing upright or laying flat.
Sony didn’t stop there however. It also detailed what’s inside the new Dualshock controller, with its wireless connectivity:

Sony totally stole the show at E3. But how long will that last? It’s a long way until both the Xbox One and PS4 hit the shelves. Do you guys think Microsoft can do anything to turn its fortunes around?
