The Samsung Galaxy Tab is due for release in the UK very soon, despite Apple cockblocking it in Australia and the rest of Europe. To coincide with this launch, Samsung have released a few videos to accompany it, including this one for the Samsung Crescent Racing team:
While you don’t get a look at the actual Tablet until at least half way through the video, but it shows off some of the smooth HD video functions as well as its ease of use; by putting it in the hand of many an aging member of the team.
Designed to take the tablet war straight to Apple, the new Galaxy Tab will be comparably light and as good looking as the iPad. It comes with a 7-inch (180 mm) TFT-LCD touchscreen, Wi-Fi capability, a 1.0 GHz ARM Cortex-A8 (“Hummingbird”) processor, a 3.2 MP rear-facing camera and a 2.0 MP front-facing camera for video calling.
Software wise it comes packing the Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system and the Touchwiz 4.0 for intuitive navigating. Onboard at stock you get Google Maps, Social Hub for instant messaging, support for the MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA, RA audio formats and WMV9, WMV8, WMV7, H.264, MPEG4, H.263, VP8 video codecs.
