Samsung Debuts 2560×1600 Tablet

Samsung is set to debute a new tablet screen featuring a massive 2560×1600 resolution. It is expected that this screen will end up in the iPad 3. Known also as WQXGA, the diplay’s have an impressive pixel density of 300 pixels per inch.

It is the first display to use Samsung’s PenTile technology and is planned to be used in the Galaxy Tab series which currently sports a 10-inch screen with a resolution of 1280×800. Apparently it will also use upwards of 40% less power than previous iterations.
