Pictures of AMD 7000 series revealed

What a surprise, it looks just like a six series.

With the mobile chips landing before Christmas and the first desktop cards expected to show up early in the new year, it’s not surprising that the first images of debut cards have started to show up. Of course there’s almost nothing interesting in the pictures unless you really get into the details of it. Fortunately that’s what others have already done.

The image shows two Tahiti based GPUs running in a crossfire configuration. Fudzilla points out that there’s a total of 12 memory chips which confirms the 384 bit memory interface that was rumoured to be used on this series of GPUs.

Power wise it looks likely these cards will use an 8pin and 6pin PCIe power cable, which suggests the two cards there are mid-range only as it’s likely the highest end will need twin 8 pin connectors.

The original thread that these were debuted in can be found here.
