Steam: Best of British Sale Launches

A new sale has popped up on steam, purporting to contain some of the Best of British Indie games currently available. While it would cost you just under £50 to buy all these games individually, they’re now all listed on Steam for just £7.99.

The full list includes:

  • DEFCON
  • Eufloria
  • Frozen Synapse
  • Gratuitous Space Battles
  • Revenge of the Titans
  • Time Gentlemen Please!
  • Ben There, Dan That

While I can’t pretend to have played all of these games, I’ve played most of them and I can recommend a fair few of them. Defcon is surprisingly deep and occasionally depressing. Launching nukes is great fun, but the melancholy music really starts to get to you as the death tolls mount up. Euphloria is similarly beautiful, while Frozen synapse is a chess like game of countering your opponents supposed plans in the multiplayer segment.

Gratuitous Space Battles is every nerds stat tweaking, wet dream. If you like the idea of playing with numbers and watching the results play out in-front of you, you’ll love it.

The last few I haven’t played, but if they’re part of this pack, they’re likely to be winners.

Nice to see British developers getting a look in and some extra praise – and undoubtedly dollars – for their efforts.

You can buy the bundle here.
