Not Infinity Ward, or Treyarch, but Rober Bowling, previously a creative strategist and community manager at IW. Currently developing a next-gen game known as Human Element, Bowling has announced it will be a Ouya exclusive – though it isn’t set for release until 2015.
According to Bowling, who’s working at new studio Robotski, the game is set 35 years after a zombie apocalypse – not many of those around these days. “We’re going to work with the Ouya team and bring you an exclusive episodic look at the world as it develops and collapses over the course of the event happening,” Bowling stated.
The episode idea sounds similar to the way TellTale releases its games, unveiling a new episode of between two and four hours of gameplay every month or so. With the low cost, somewhat low-tech approach being taken by the Ouya, episode based games could be the way to go, since that makes the titles much more financially viable for people.
