Edimax AR-7284WnA Router
Over the years Edimax has built up a pretty respectable name for themselves as producers of good quality products for a reasonable price. However, despite them being a site sponsor this is the first time we've taken a look at their hardware head on. No rose tinted spectacles here folks. Today we're looking at a Startech package that gives you not only a hard drive dock supporting the new port, but also a PCI-E card giving you a pair of USB3 ports to make sure you're fully compatible.
Synology VS60 Surveillance Station
With the price of NAS drives becoming a little more managable and the increased capacities necessary for the backup of everyday work and family photographs increasing, this type of hardware is becoming more proliferant in our homes. However, they arn't the only additions to your network you can make, with several add-on boxes made available by companies like Synology.Today we're looking at the VS60, an addon to the Synology Surveillance Station that allows the direct, software-less monitoring of up to 6 different network cameras at once.
