Crucial Ballistix DDR2 PC2-6400 Kit
When 2GB kits started to become standard among gamers, Crucial ruled the roost with their high end PC4000 kit. Since then it has all moved on to low latency, high bandwidth DDR2 and Crucial is once again trying to dominate the market with their high performance modules. Today I have with me a mid range PC6400 kit from the Ballistix series. However, these modules are sporting the D9GMH chips which are touted as the new TCCD. This should mean high performance and some extreme overclocking, lets see how well they do.

OCZ are one of the world's most well established names for memory manufacture in the world. They have produced ground breaking products in the past such as the old VX DDR memory and more recently the first stock supplied water cooled ram. Today however,I have with me something aimed at somewhere other than the enthusiast market, the gamers. The Special Ops. Urban Elite may look combat ready, but does it have what it takes when under hostile fire? Lets find out.
OCZ EB 2Gb PC3700 Kit
When building yourself a gaming rig there are several names you think of when it comes to buying the memory; Corsair, Crucial, Mushkin among some. However the one name that has always stood out for me in terms of performance and style is OCZ. They have recently sent me their lovely 2gb EB PC3700 kit for me to test, lets see if this kit lives upto their already sterling reputation.
Geil Value Dual Channel 1gb Kit
Geil I have to say are not one the most known memory companies, they are not as well known as the likes of Corsair and Crucial. Never the less they have made a name for themselves with such products as the Geil One series, the only memory I have seen to hit CAS ratings of 1.5. Today we will be looking at the other end of the spectrum, their value series. This memory has gained a reputation with the overclocking community as being the same price range as Crucial’s and Corsair’s value range but is rumoured to be a lot more overclockable while maintaining nice timings. We will of course test these rumours to bring you the truth.

When you think of memory, there are several brand names that any self respecting overclockers will spew forth. Corsair, OCZ, Kingston. However one name that is never missed off that list of greats is Crucial. Their memory modules are known the world over for their high Overclockability and their blisteringly tight timings. Recently Crucial were kind enough to send me their 1gb PC4000 DDR500 kit, this is how it performed.
